Adar I

This leap year of my faith,

Induces me to ruminate,

On creation seeds sowed long ago,

Gone dormant in field-fallow rows.

Germination begins anew;

Ideas take shape and begin to queue.

Reveling in mitzvah joyfulness,

Is replaced by murmured restlessness,

’til pregnant anticipation,

Bears the fruit of my creation.
